It's too bad that the only vet available in Tunkhannock is not passionate about his career choice... and it shows. I've spent thousands over the years taking my animals to his facility because they are a very important part of my life. Recently, my cat had surgery and a few days later (on a Saturday) an abscess formed. Because it was on the weekend, Dr. McDonough was unable to be reached. I called around and ended up driving almost an hour away to make sure my pet received proper medical attention. The Northeast Veterinary Referral Hospital staff members were amazing. It made me realize how much they care for animals compared to my previous veteterinarian. Today, my pet is healthy and doing very well. I refuse to go back to Dr. McDonough's in the future and have spoken with several other pet owners who feel the same.
