Click to report rating    10/30/17   1     1     1     1   My dog had a minor allergic reaction on his paw, so I brought him in. The "vet" never even examined him, yet proceeded to tell me he had a liver issue and a blood test was required. My dog is 3 years ago and entirely healthy other than this sore on his paw. He drew blood and then "prescribed" medications I didn't even ask for. I walked out of there $501 lighter, and didn't even get any advice. When the blood test comes in, I'm sure it will indicate more tests for some serious ailment my happy energetic dog requires. It's all a big scam and is quite sickening. My vet friend just told me to get him off chicken, which he gets a lot of. Why could the "vet" just make some recommendations instead of stealing my money? RID: 64956
Click to report rating    7/25/17   5     4     5     5   Dr. Garg and his staff at Walnut Grove Animal Hospital are truly amazing people. I brought my dog Nancy here with a serious dewclaw problem Dr. Garg and his staff took an exceptional care of him. I will certainly be back here for years to come. RID: 64258
Click to report rating    9/2/16   1     3     4     1   I brought my puppy here for the first time and was very very disappointed. I was not greeted when I walked in, even when stating who I was and what the appointment was for they didn't acknowledge me at all. Once seeing the Vet he was stand off ish and wouldn't answer the questions we had. If he did answer the question he would say it in a demeaning way and if we did not understand he would ignore the question or make us feel stupid for asking. All throughout the appointment the Vet kept adding things to our bill without asking permission or explaining what was being added. I don't usually write reviews but thought I should for this clinic. I will never be visiting this place in the future my pet deserves someone who is going to care about him and his health and not just see him as a dollar sign. RID: 61490

1/29/15   1     1     1     1   pPease DO NOT take your pet for surgery here. We had a horrendous experience from the day of surgery until we had to have our beloved dog put down due to a complication from surgery. They did not do the surgery on time, leaving us to bring home a sedated dog who wasn't in good shape. Our other option was to leave her unattended at the clinic. Dr. Garg never listened to my concerns, always diagnosing something else for her problems, prescribing medicine she did not need, and taking her back to be hospitalized. I don't think he had a clue, he grasped at straws and I lost my best friend in the world. Our family is heartbroken, and fully believe our dog would be alive today if not for the surgery and treatment at this clinic. The two other vets we took her to coudln't help, it was too late. DO NOT GO THERE, I don't want anyone to go through what we have been through. The cost is much too high, my beloved, sweet, dog is gone, and she didn't deserve what she went through. It haunts me. Tried few other clinics (don't want to name) but Dr. Garg from the day one was very clear in his approach of dignosing and treated my little cat who really means a lot to me. Extremely satisfied with the services of this clinic. RID: 53787

5/31/14   5     5     5     5   Very experienced and wise doctor. Saved life of my dog. Had been to few other clinics in lower mainland , doc's there couldnt diagnose properly and i ended up spending hundreds of dollars without much imlrovement in dog's health. Prices here are not very high and you get quality treatment and care. Thank you walnutgrove hospital RID: 51873

5/1/14   3     3     1     1   The dr. did a check up on my cat for my as I had newly adopted her. She had two rounds of deworming within the last 3 weeks he suggested I do another 2 rounds just in case she brought something home. Which I didn't have a problem with. I could tell that the dr. did seem to genuinely care about animals but I was pretty upset with what happened next. When I took my cat home she started throwing up. I called the vet back and they said she should be fine. She was lethargic and curled up into a ball on my bed and wouldn't move, eat or drink. I read online it could be if she had to many worms but I didn't find a single worm in her stool. The second round the dr told me to do it was the same scenario. When I took her to another animal hospital and they read her prescription they told me they had given her double the amount for her weight and essentially overdosed and poisoned my cat. I was not happy as no one likes to see their pet suffering especially from something avoidable. RID: 51331

9/17/13   5     5     5     5   A wonderful place, the doctor is very experienced, knowledgeable and professional, the staff is very nice and caring. The kindness and expertise of the veterinarian is well worth it. The doctor will exhaust all measures to make sure the correct diagnosis is reached, rather than just make assumptions, tell you what you want to hear, or require unnecessary tests. Sometimes the wait is typically long, but once it is your turn, you will see that they devote as much time and attention as your animal needs. They never try to rush you out so they can get to the next customer, and they always take the time to thoroughly explain everything. They are very kind and dedicated to the science of veterinary medicine. I highly recommend this practice, especially Dr. Garg. I have also heard absolutely wonderful things about Dr. Garg from friends. He really cares about you as a client and about your animals. He always takes the time to pet them before we leave which I appreciate. RID: 47024
8/5/13   1     1     1     1   I had a family member take my lab there for shots and a check up. My female lab is almost 6, very healthy and eats a natural holistic diet. The vet told my mom she had stomach issues he could hear and that she needs to go on their crappy food ( I read the ingredients). I chose not to do that and she is still just fine. I just recently added a rotti female to our family... Took here there at 12 weeks for second set of shots and he listened to her stomach and said she also needed to go on their food. I also didn't do that and my puppy is great on her food. My puppy also squirmed for her shots; he literally stabbed her with the needle and my pup had a lump on her neck for 2 weeks. Don't ever take your dog to this scam artist vet. After all this I have heard other people having issues too with walnut grove animal hospital. RID: 46083
Click to report rating    6/15/13   5     5     5     5   This is one of the best vet clinics I've been to in a very long time. The staff is amazing and the vet there takes time to explain everything he does. my husband and I felt there prices were very reasonable for the service they provided. We would definitely be going back and would highly reccommend them. RID: 43131
Click to report rating    5/6/13   5     5     5     5   In one word? Perfect! I have been to many pet hospital but the care and service coupled with the cost I got at Walnut grove is the best. The doctor and staff are knowledgeable and seemed genuinely concerned with the well being of my pets.I live in Surrey. It is very hard to find a pet hospital you can trust to care for your pets. And I will only refer people to a vet I would trust, and I highly recommend this hospital to anyone. They have often advised me if I want they could do this or that test, but why waste my money when this or that will tell us the same thing? Of course they will run tests when they need to, but I like how they inform me and allow me to make the choice. As an animal lover they tell you what they recommend, but they wont push or force you into anything you don't feel comfortable doing for your pet and/or financially. I would only take our animals to this place, as they deserve the best care possible. RID: 42320
Click to report rating    3/8/13   1     1     1     1   This is for 20995 88ave Langley. Worst experience ever. My cat didnt have his declaw surgery on time. They said theyd call when his surgery was done and they didn’t. Nor did they tell me he was ready for pick up. His pain patch was already off when he got home. I had to tie it on as they had nothing to help secure it despite knowing this is an issue with all patches. His cone was too small and he could LICK HIS WHOLE PAW. I asked for a bigger cone which I had to pay for. His paw became infected. I took him in and they neglected to clean it, just gave me meds. They neglected to tell me about diarrhea being a possibility, and to stop treatment if that happened. He was on meds for 2 days and they said “If his paw looks okay, just stop treatment.” IM NOT A VET. HOW SHOULD I KNOW? If you love your pet, take them to where they do laser declaw and don’t neglect animals. I found out too late. They also neglected to mention that laser declaw was an option, they just didn’t have the machine. RID: 40923
2/6/13   2     3     1     1   This was the worst experience ive had with service and my cat was very sick so im worried at the same time.my vet was closed so i had to come here even though i heard the doc is rude. The doctor was snappy at me saying i do t understand ehat the problem is!! He was aggressive with my cat, asked what his name was at the END of the visit. He shaved half my cats neck to take a blood test, told me that what they always do when in fact you do not have to do that... He left the room saying he's going to get a swab , waited for 20 minutes cause he took a call. They never called me the next day for results, i called , they said he call me right back, i had to call back 4 hours later!they again took a message.finally called back at 830pm.i requested results to be sent to fort Langley, they never did. It was a horrible experience for me and my poor sick cat. I recommend fort Langley or Langley animal hospital. RID: 40229
Click to report rating    9/19/12   5     5     5     5   I moved to this area a couple of months ago and I have been looking for a pet clinic where I could take my Pekinese. I asked a few of my friends in the area to guide me on this as am always a little hesitant to see any new vet. Most of my friends recommended Walnut Grove Clinic. When I first went there, I was very pleased with my overall experience. The staff is extremely friendly and everytime, the doctor spends a lot of time examining and explaning what he is doing. Their prices are very reasonable, which is another thing that keeps me coming back to them. But most importantly, I feel that Pekinese is getting the best care I could find in this area. I recommend them without any hesitency! RID: 37300
9/8/12   2     2     2     2   took my dog in when I first got her and the vet wouldn't even touch her. I wanted her teeth checked and ears checked - he wouldn't do it. RID: 37072
Click to report rating    6/7/12   5     5     5     5   Took my little pitt bull in for an ear hematoma last week. My old vet wanted over $700.00 to do this quick surgery. Dr, Garg charged me under $500.00 and did the surgery that afternoon allowing me to bring my dog home that evening. I was very pleased with his work and the fact that he allows me to help make the choices on what is best for my dogs. Thank you very much for being there and helping me out in a time of need...deb RID: 34831

3/4/12   5     5     5     5   A special thanks to the staff at Walnut Grove Animal Hospital. I have 2 dogs and one cat. I have been their client for more than 12 years now, I believe. I recently moved to Coquitlam but still dont mind driving there. I have great trust in their ability. My dog Austin was saved by them when he was injured badly with multiple fractures. He was hit by my neighbor's car. In 2010, with their persistent care they treated Leo, my cat having severe heart disease, thyroid problem & both the kidneys gone. Leo would be 19 years tomorrow. Thanks to Dr Garg. He is a great Vet. I will certainly recommend him and his wonderful team. Casey B. RID: 32652
Click to report rating    7/21/10   5     5     5     5   me and my 3 pets have been with Dr. Gerg for many years. the hospital offers many facilities like thier new Ultrasound!!! I highly recommend them to everyone out there. Our pit x needed surgery on his knees and Dr. Gerg let us make payments and helped cover the cost from the hospital side. and saved our wonderful dog from to be put to sleep. Dr. Gerg even met us at our house as it was hard for us to bring the big dog to the clinic. dr. gerg also came outside the hospitals hours because my dog needed serious attention. and instead of taking to emergency where they would charge me fortune. he doesn't force random treatments and explains using the box with evidence. i am proud to say i can trust him with my son, Rolo. continue the great service. thank you Dr. Gerg and your team. =) and Rolo loves the bushes nearby to do his business. hehehe hope you dont mind. thanks RID: 18892
