From the front reception to Dr. Klug - not great. The front reception CLEARLY does not get along. Not helpful with each other and would rather talk about each other when out of earshot than actually do any work. Dr. Klug is blunt, can actually forget that she is talking to you about YOUR family pet. Her words can be hurtful and unnecessary, especially when dealing with a dog that has behavioral issues. She needs to remember that the animal is part of a family who loves their pet. Not make it out like the dog has no future and although did not come right out and say it, put it down. We will not be back.

Not taking my animals back here after getting bad advice then them getting upset and yelling at us when we listen to them. Once we made the decision to not go back they called animal control stating that there was a suffering animal in my house.

The Selkirk Vet Hospital misdiagnoses and then overcharges with unnecessary tests. There is a constant turnaround in the vets and staff. I have rarely had the same vet over many years of going there. I would recommend trying one of the other vets in town.

Excellent service the whole team is great. We’ve been taking our pets to Dr. Klug for years and she’s very professional and compassionate. They are very accommodating and the prices are reasonable. Dr. Klug goes above and beyond, I just can’t say enough good things. We always know our pets are in good hands. We would never go anywhere else.

The staff there are extremely ignorant and disrespectful they were trying to make me get services done that weren’t even necessary. I had a appt booked and I don’t live close after getting there I had to wait half hour still then overheard them talking in back room also heard words “who is this dog were bending over backwards for”? Are you kidding me right now!!! Do you want the business or not. That is not how you deal with the public and customers. They lost a lot of business from us and this experience will be shared with many people. Extremely unprofessional

I've been to several vets over the years and Drs Penner and Klug are wonderful caring doctors. They are friendly knowledgeable and take all the time I need for questions. They're very forthcoming with information and I really appreciate that. The staff are fantastic as well. Very friendly, polite and diligent. Dr. Klug is an amazing vet! She is so nice and caring and truly gives you personal care and attention. Her pricing is extremely fair. We live in the city and travel to Selkirk to see her. I have no complaints and would highly recommend her! It’s worth the drive! One of our dogs has behaviour issues and she handles him so well. I have complete trust in her.

Selkirk Veterinary Clinic unfortunately put profit before the well being of our pet, recommending completely unnecessary procedures and even going as far as doing tests and procedures to our pet without gaining our go ahead or permission or even our input despite being readily available putting our beloved pet through unnecessary stress and pain. They then slapped us with an astronomic bill for said procedures.
Not only that but the vets at this clinic don't seem to be very knowledgable at all when it came to the disease in our pet and couldn't offer any meaningful advice or info. I would strongly recommend finding a vet elsewhere with a little more common sense, knowledge, patience and compassion.

I recently took my cat there who had been misdiagnosed by another vet'n in Winnipeg. Dr. Klug is an AMAZING professional! She is thorough, transparent, personable! All the attributes you would expect in a great Veteranarian. They are extremely competent and reasonably priced. Definitely worth the drive! I'm so glad I found this Clinic!

Very unprofessional staff, especially the receptionist who is very rude and has no knowledge about anything relating to pets. I've heard awful things about Dr Klug, including how rough she is with pets when the owners aren't around. Dr Penner is a decent vet, but the rest of the staff are so terrible that I would never go back.

If you care about your pet and live in the area take them there and only there. Dr klug is the best vet I've ever been to very nice and knowledgable. She is the cheapest and seems to genuinely care about your pet. I have taken my pets to all the others in the area and the city and they've ripped me off and misdiagnosed them. One visit to her and youll never go anywhere else. Thank you so much doc never change

Saturday, March 14/15 I noticed my cat had a problem with his back end. I was in a panic and my husband and I decided to take him to your Clinic as it was close, less stress on my cat and I was told by my Beaver Bus Lines driver that this Clinic gave excellent care to animals. Although we did not have an appointment we (well our cat) was looked at very quickly and the Technician assured me that we did the right thing by coming in even though it wasn't serious at the time it could have been had we not come in. Everyone treated us with kindness and respect. My cat was taken care of and the bill was very reasonable. I did not get to meet Dr. Penner but I feel confident that when my cat goes in for some dental work, he will be as kind and caring with my baby. Thanks to everyone at the Clinic and I would highly recommend your Clinic to anyone who has a pet. Thank you from Hewy the Patient, Sue and Bob Kartzmark, the Parents.

Wouldn't take my pets anywhere else! Currently have 2 dogs and a cat who see Dr.klug and Dr.penner, both are wonderful. Very reasonable prices, and they always remember my pets when I come in. They are very knowledgeable and do a great job explaining everything. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

We have a dog with Addison's disease & he couldn't be in better care. Dr. Klug is a very knowledgeable, caring vet. She takes time to explain everything we need to know to deal with this & even tries to find most economical ways to provide his lifetime meds. Dylan says thank you for saving his life.

Selkirk Vet.Services was recommended to us when one of our bunnies had a bad tooth abcess and needed surgery. I was nervous going in because it wasn't our regular vet and I wanted to be comfortable with the care he was receiving. Dr. Klug was nothing short of fantastic. She cared for my sweet boy as if he were her own. The staff called to see how he was doing and Dr Klug herself took the time to email us personally numerous times to help us overcome some of the post-op challenges we were having at home. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and wouldn't hestate at all to go back. Dr. Klug truly cares and it shows.

Wasn't impressed at all. Was quoted one price then charged double at the end, was told if we brought in all our animals that day we'd get a discount-they wouldn't give it to us, was quoted $400 to clean our cat's teeth, and last of all, we left there with Klug making us feel like we were terrible pet owners, which we are not. Lots went wrong here, we haven't been back since.

We first came to Dr. Klug’s clinic about 3 years ago under an emergency situation. Our beloved little dog Noel became extremely ill when we were vacationing at the lake. After being told by the Veterinarian hospital in Selkirk, that they would not wait 30 minutes for us as they were closing soon, we desperately called Dr. Klug’s clinic and were told to bring her in and they would see her immediately. They quickly diagnosed the problem and provided potentially life-saving care for our dog. Of course we were thrilled and extremely thankful. Plus we were pleasantly surprised to see how reasonable her fee was for the care provided. We’ve been dedicated clients ever since, even though we live in Winnipeg which has several clinics that are much closer and convenient for us.
We continue to be impressed and very satisfied with her clinic and confidently recommend her to all of our friends. Keep up the great work Dr. Klug and staff!

Dr. Klug herself is very good, however the staff needs to be retrained and reminded of their attiudes on the phone. My dog has had several unrine infections and the staff at the desk, gave me the wrong info. Telling me I can bring in a pee sample from my dog, that was not the case, they had to to it themselves and $150.00 later. On antoher occasion I felt that one staff to be judgemental when making appts! That's why we switched vets!

Dr Klug and the staff are super. They truly care about the animals and the owners. For me and my critters it's a sure sign that the people that you are dealing with can be trusted and respected for their honesty and integrity when a cat who is usually terrifed of strangers begins to purr and relax when being examined and cared for. Dr Klug has been very helpful with numerous rescued cats and dogs. The service is often above and beyond the call of duty. You definitely get full value for your money. "It's worth the trip" to Selkirk Veterinary Services!

Dr Klug and her staff are great. My 13 year old daschund was sick for about 6 months. I felt that Dr Klug listens well and clearly explains the possible causes and options. She was able to find the problem for my dog that 2 other vets were not. She never treated my dog like she was just old.

I have switched some of my animals to her. I really like her practical attitude and she has found was to save me lots of money on my chronic dog. The clinic is a bit small, therefor cramped for big dogs, but very clean and well kept.
