The facilities are nice enough and the staff are friendly BUT..... the docs pushed unnecessary medicine and tests for my dog during each of our last 3 visits. Not surprisingly, they then charged an exorbitant amount for the meds. Find another good vet and don't let them steal from you and overmedicate your beloved pet.

The Staff, Dr.Lon and Dr.Emslie are all wonderful people!!!! They have taken care of my animals for years. When my cat was sick recently, they took the time to explain what was needed and why to me. They gave me estimates when I requested it. She was overdue on shots, but was too sick to get them at that time. The girls still treated her with love and care. After my baby felt better, I took her in to get shots. Everyone remembered who she was and was so excited to see her feeling better. I wanted to Thank everyone for putting up with me that day. I was emotional and distraught and everyone was very understanding of my situation.

I have have been a customer of the Lantana veterinary center since 2000, and I love Dr Emilse. She is very kind, caring, and I trust her to perform any surgical peocedure from minor to major on my animals.Dr. Emilse is very experienced with birds, cat, and dogs. Dr. Emilse is the only vet I trust in this practice.

A few years ago my in-door dog cut her foot while outside in the back yard. At the time, my dog was a month overdue for her annual distemper/parvo shots. These shots are not required by law. To avoid over-vaccination I only vaccinated my dog for parvo/distemper every 3 years,consistent with many other veterinary clinic recommendations at the time. The Lantana vet clinic insisted that she have the shot and would not help her unless I changed my mind. My dogs foot was bleeding - it was late afternoon, around 6pm, making it difficult to find another vet. The clinic had no regard for my beliefs and seriously abused my trust. They were willing to let her suffer in order to have thier own way. Interestingly enough, current standard protocals involved in distemper/parvo vaccinations recommend the shot be given every three years. These veterinarians are backwards and limited in their thinking. They do not follow trends in animal research and are not open to client opinion.
