6/18/16   5     5     5     5   I have been going to Lockridge since 1996 and I would think of going anywhere else. The staff is so caring with our beloved pets. I moved out of state for a few years but when I came back to Manchester I headed right back to Lockridge. They took such good care of our precious little beagle in her last year. After a few years we have added a new addition to our family and I didn't think twice about who would take care of Jasper. The facility is clean and modern, always on time with appointments. I never feel I am being overcharged and I appreciate how informative the staff is about fees and procedures. In the end it is a joint decision on the care for your pet. I have not met anyone at that Clinic who didn't have an immense love for animals and their owners!! RID: 60880

2/18/13   5     5     5     5   I have been going since 1998 and have had the best experience. I moved 3hrs away and tried a vet up there and they were treated my animal like a wild animal. So I drove 3 hrs one way.. 6hrs in one day to go to the best. They always call and check on their patients after procedures. Get welcome cards and sympathy cards when your animal dies. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. Dr. McCammon is one of the most sweetest men out there. Thank You to the whole staff at Lockridge for ALWAYS making us feel like family. Who never got mad calling you all night every hr to check up on my sick animal. Thank you!! RID: 40527

9/21/12   5     5     5     5   Lockridge is one of the most kind caring vet hospitals I have ever been to.I have been a client of Lockridge Animal Hospital for well over 10 years now and would never consider going to another vet. When I first called Lockridge I was a client of another not so kind vet here in Manchester. I had a chihuahua whom was 9 days overdue in having her puppies my vet told me call them back in 5 days if she had not had them. Concerned I found Lockridge in the phone book called and was made an appointment that day were they scheduled my baby girl for a c-section. When my cat became blocked for the first time they treated him with such care and kindness. For over 4 years now they have helped me with him in so many ways I can not even begin to thank them. Recently I had to put that little boy down and the one thing that will always stick in my mind is Dr. Pamela Richard standing there giving me a hug with tears in her eyes just as I was reminding me of the very first day I brought that little RID: 37361

11/23/11   5     5     4     5   I have been using Lockridge for 10 years and have had only very positive interactions with all staff. They are conscientious, thorough and caring toward both animal and it's owner. Their diagnosis have always been right on the mark. When my dog has been sick and away from home they have graciously interacted with the on site veterinarian, sharing history, current meds etc. Their follow through with me the owner has been nothing short of remarkable. As an example the veterinarian, Dr. Richard has called me numerous times over a period of two weeks past the discharge of my dog. Baillie, the dog, has had many problems and many reason to visit Lockridge Animal Hospital. The care she has received would lead me to highly recommend Lockridge Animal Hospital to anyone seeking a veterinarian hospital. RID: 29352

11/14/11   5     5     5     5   I am not only a pet owner but a pet salon owner/groomer, & have been a client of Lockridge for 12 years. When I adopted Tedi(a shih-tzu)he had severe allergies & a heart murmur. Dr. Carey (specifically)& the staff/other dr.s as well, became very familiar with Tedi & whatever issues he had. Believe me there were alot. They helped me, educated me, & nursed Tedi through all his issues. We gave Tedi the best life he could've ever had, when others said he should be put down. I could not have given him that life without Lockridge. I will be forever grateful to them. They are a well educated, experienced team of caring people with the skills it takes to give your pet what they need. I am proud to recommend my clients to them knowing they will have the finest care, & I will continue to take my pets there as well. There are many talented & skillful Vets in NH, but Lockridge remains one of the best. If I did not believe that I would not have taken my pets there for the last 12 years. RID: 29116

6/7/11   3     4     3     2   I personally stopped taking my pet here.I got a new puppy and brought her in for an exam. She passed with flying colors. A few weeks later she got a urinary track infection. They asked me to bring in a urine sample which I did. It showed she indeed had a Urinary tract infection. When I asked if they would prescribe antibiotics they told me they could not until I brought her back in and they did another test. The test was going to be over $100. I asked them why they needed this test since the urine test already showed that she had an infection and they had just seen her a few weeks before. I was told that was standard procedure. I called other vets to see if that was the protocol for all vets. Indeed it was not. Got myself another vet and the antibiotics I needed and my puppy ended up just fine without the expensive test.  2/15/11   5     5     5     5   I have been taking my cat here for about 10 years. I have always been extremely happy with the care she receives. I have to take her in often because she has kidney problems and I call in often to order medication and supplies for her treatment. They are able to fit her in at a moments notice when problems arise with her health. They’ve taken the time to train me to provide some of her medical treatments at home to limit her stress level. Along with the immaculate facilities, the staff is always pleasant and I can't say enough about Dr McCammon. My cat has been primarily under his care and he has provided much advice and support, particularly these last few years. He calls after hours and on days off with lab results and has even called me with his personal opinions to help when I've had to make some difficult decisions. It is comforting to know he cares about her best interest as much as I do. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for quality care for your pet. RID: 22896

12/1/10   5     4     1     1   It is with a heavy heart that I write this since the staff is really good and they have prolonged the life of my pets over the years but I have noticed that the cost of services has more than doubled in two years. What used to be $140 appt is now over $250 for the same level of service. An office visit was $18 and now it is $39. A dentistry is now over $250. I get that the cost of business goes up but to charge ANOTHER office visit fee to re-check an ear infection is silly since the medicine works fine. Also, the wait time has gotten longer and longer. I will say the place is immaculate and the staff is nice but you do feel pressure and guilt if you do not pay for what they recommend. I will keep my current animals here but my new one will go somewhere else. Sorry. RID: 21190
Click to report rating    11/21/10   5     5     4     4   I have been a client of Lockridge Animal Hospital for quite a few years now. I have followed Dr Carey through the last 15 years or so. She is an amazing doctor! My pets love her and she is extremely loving, caring and attentive to my pets needs. The staff at the hospital are all wonderful as well. The facility is sooo very clean and well maintained not only for us but for our pets as well. I would never consider taking my pet anywhere else!! RID: 20988
Click to report rating    11/11/10   5     5     5     5   My dog has been going to Lockridge for over 10 years. She is 13 now and would not be alive if we hadn't gone there. We see Dr. Richards but have also seen the other vets and they are amazing, caring and go over and above any vet I have ever seen. The staff is wonderful, always kissing my dog and giving her treats. I cannot imagine anyone saying a negative thing about this practice. I wish my doctor gave me the care and time that they do. They truly love all the pets and call in the evening to see how my dog is doing. She has a lot of problems which Dr. Richards has treated by much research. The facility is immaculate and so pet friendly. As far as the price of treatment I would rather pay a bit more and be there than in a few other places I have taken my dog in her early years. There is no price on great care for the pet you love RID: 20803
Click to report rating    11/8/10   4     4     3     4   This is a business like any other business. For those who believe the vets can just NOT CHARGE for care and medications and tests - you're wrong! How do you expect them to pay their staff and keep the doors open to help pets if everyone comes in asking for discounted care? I work at another vet clinic but they are all basically the same - the staff care about the pets and want the best for them but ultimately it is up to the owner to PAY for that care and be respnsible for their pet. If you can't afford a pet then don't own one. RID: 20707
Click to report rating    10/5/10   5     5     5     5   my animals,(dogs, cats, bunnies)have been treated by this facility for many years & i've never had a bad experience! the place is SO clean,no fur,mud or even a smell! my pets are treated with love and respect. the vets & techs are constantly patting & even kiss my pets. they are so interested in preventitive care, to avoid major issues.i work in the healthcare industry(people health)& this hospital treats my animals better than some dr. offices treat people patients! there are also pet insurance companies that help with the cost of tests & vaccines.my animals are a very important part of my family & this animal hospital treats them better than any other vet i have been to. RID: 20075
Click to report rating    8/23/10   5     5     5     5   I would like to start by saying that I have been seeing Dr. Carey for the past 7 years. I think the world of my vet and the faciliy. She is wonderful with my dogs and they love her. I understand money is a consideration for all of us in these tough economic times but what is too much for a member of our family? 3 yrs ago my beloved Dog was so sick he nearly died. Thanks to Dr. Carey and her referral to Angel in Boston my dog was saved! So thank you thank you thank you! RID: 19359
Click to report rating    8/19/10   5     5     5     4   The quality and care of the treatment that my rabbit received pre and post op was great, they are so gentle and thorough. I favor their vet over our other vet who also treats rabbits but never seems to have the time. When we have had emergancies we have been seen with in 15 mins of calling. The vet and the vet techs are fantastic, our tech owns a rabbit herself and knows how to properly and carefully handle them. I was and still am 100% confident in their ability to provide top quality care. I say the price is pretty good because I am on a tight budget but understand that good vet care costs good money. To everyone who complains about their prices expect to pay as much for your pets medical bills as you would pay for yourself if uninsured, if you can't afford the treatment don't get the animal. RID: 19312
Click to report rating    8/11/10   5     5     5     4   This facility is a very caring and professional group. From the minute you walk in until you leave you know you are in good hands. I have had to euthanize my dog several years ago. The Doctors and the staff were sympathetic to all we were going through. When we could finally get our new dogs they were as supportive. As agility dogs the doctors know how important physical well being is. We appreciate all they do! RID: 19175
Click to report rating    7/24/10   2     4     4     1   Care too much about finance - always tried to get me to purchase worm test kits or toothbrushes for my indoor cat - very forceful about it - defensive and rude when I complained that I was felt under pressure to buy stuff I felt I didn't need - I understand it is a business, but prefer old fashioned caring RID: 18930
Click to report rating    5/19/10   3     4     3     1   All this place cares about is money. Animal welfare is way down the priority list. One of our dogs is blind form diabetes because I was laid off and couldn't pay their preposterously exorbitant rates. BEWARE... RID: 18030
Click to report rating    4/30/10   5     5     5     5   I have been taking my dogs to Lockridge Animal Hospital for 5+ years. The staff is awesome, caring, compassionate, and friendly. Yes, sometimes you have to wait. They are BUSY. It is worth it! And it's never usually more than 10 to 15 minutes. The doctors aren't pushy when it comes to meds or tests. I have always been asked and quoted a price first. Tests and procedures have always been explained to me as to the relevance or necessity of them. My dogs love their primary vet: Dr. Carey, and I would never take them anywhere else. This is a quality establishment that knows what they are doing, and they are doing it fantastically. My dogs are always treated with respect and huge amounts of love! There is no better animal hospital in the Manchester area, and they have my trust and respect 100% RID: 17759
Click to report rating    1/1/10   5     5     5     5   This is a response from Lockridge to the individual rating of 12/7/09. What this person does not report is that the pet was being seen by us for chronic respiratory problems of many months duration. Two different doctors had seen her and had done their best to offer help with our "diagnostic hands tied" because the owner refused all tests including the most basic a chest xray. On the day in question the dog was moving happily around the exam room and sweetly accepting treats from our hands. She was NOT in distress and the individual presenting her implied that some but not all of her family was considering euthanasia. We have seen many patients whose owners felt that there was nothing to be done..only to find that we can offer palliative care to extend quality & length of life. We instituted trial therapy and explained the limits. We heard nothing in spite of calling them until this hateful posting. A call reporting her lack of response & deterioration would have allowed humane action. RID: 15965
Click to report rating    9/8/09   5     5     5     5   I have been taking my 3 cats there for over 15 years. Dr. McCammon has gone above and beyond any other vet I have ever had in taking care of my animals as if they were his own. The entire staff is compassionate, caring and above all, professional. Anyone who has said anything negative about this establishment obviously has false facts about their reputation. I would never take my animals anywhere else after having such great care and compassion for so many years RID: 14159
Click to report rating    9/6/09   5     5     4     5   We've been taking our cats, and now four-month old puppy to Lockridge for over ten years, and wouldn't ever take our animal companions anywhere else. We tried a lot of vets in the area, and were highly disappointed with all of them... until we found Lockridge. They are compassionate, warm, professional, efficient, extremely knowledgeable, and supportive beyond belief. We feel incredibly lucky to have found them. From front desk, to tech, to Dr. - we cannot complain about a single thing. They follow through meticulously, and you can tell they genuinely care about the animals. We are not a number there. We do pay a fair amount of money to them each year - we have cats with very complicated issues - but it's worth every penny for their expertise. You get what you pay for in this world. We pay them happily because they take such good care of our family. As I said - we are so lucky to have Lockridge. A special nod to Dr. Dianne Carey - who we LOVE! RID: 14141

Click to report rating    4/10/09   5     5     5     5   I recently adopted a stray cat who was quite ill. My former vet would not see me for 3 days. Lockridge took me same day ..provided wondrful care ..now he is happy and healthy..would have lost him without them! RID: 12391
Click to report rating    8/9/08   5     5     5     5   This is an extraordinary Veterinarian practice. I can't use enough superlatives about this group of Vets and their staff. My dogs (and cats prior) have been going to Lockridge for 11+ years, and we have always received outstanding care. All of the doctors take whatever time is necessary to complete an exam and I (or my dogs) have never been rushed through an appointment. My questions are always answered and concerns addressed. Their follow through and compassion is outstanding - and extraordinary. They ALWAYS return phone calls - and make off-hours follow-up calls subsequent to treatment (or visits to the ER). I know that all the doctors know my pets thoroughly, and care for them as well - and take time to know me and my husband, so that we are never a "number" on a chart. The front office staff and techs are absolutely incredible too; professional, friendly, knowledgeable and wonderfully compassionate. This is a great group of caring, nurturing wonderful veterinarians and staff. RID: 9626
Click to report rating    8/9/08   5     5     5     5   Too bad you don't have a rating for excellent.I have been taking my 2 dogs there for over 11 years. One has 2 life threatening illnesses and they are up to date on related treatments. The staff is also outstanding. They always give my dogs lots of love. They wag their tails before and after treatment. They know they are safe there and loved. The staff and Doctors deal with an hysterical owner when things are scary. They always follow up with me at home to be sure my boys are doing well. I think they love my boys as much as I do. They are honest with me in a very gentle way so I know what to expect when it is not the good news I want to hear. My boys have a primary Vet, but I feel comfortable with any of the Vets to help us.I would recommend Lockridge Animal Hospital to anyone who loves their pets. RID: 9623
6/30/08   1     1     1     1   They seem to be more concerned with $$$ than caring and doing the right thing. We will never bring our dogs here again. When one of our dogs became very, very ill, it took an excessive amount of time to have her records sent to the animal hospital that was treating her and they insisted on speaking to me first. Our dog passed away that evening, bless her little heart. 8..( RID: 9105

12/20/07   2     3     2     3   I have been to this vet several times, as it is the closest to my house & they just put on this beautiful new addition. Every time I have been there, I have had to wait quite a while, which is sometimes understandable, but becomes tedious. The front desk staff is extremely friendly and helpful, however, the male vet, Dr. M, probably shouldn't be working with animals. He is short tempered, and doesn't seem to understand that they are afraid. I put up with it for a long time, but when I brought my newly rescued puppy there, fresh off the transport from Tennessee, and the vet YELLED at him, I knew we weren't ever coming back. If this happens with the owners there, what goes on behind the scenes? The prices seemed a little high, but not out of line, but I'm looking for compassionate care for my pets, and didn't feel like they were going to get it here. I have talked to others at work, and heard similar stories about this vet. RID: 6705
Click to report rating    9/6/07   2     2     2     1   I had a kitten with a broken leg. When I called them to see if I could get him in (my other cat went there once) I explained that I was having financial difficulty and they said that If I couldnt afford it then I shouldnt have it. I was so discouraged. I will never go there again!!!! RID: 5836
Click to report rating    8/8/07   1     2     2     1   This animal hospital seems to only have money 1st on the list of priorities. I called for help when my pregnant dog was in trouble and they were so uncompassionate I couldn't believe I was dealing with a place that treats sick or injured animals. If I had the money they may have helped us but that was not the way it was. The minute they realized I didn't have a thousand dollars or a credit card the conversation went cold. They told me to try somewhere else. I did and got care for my dog at half the price Lockridge wanted to charge me. I would totally discourage anyone from patronizing this facility RID: 5509
Click to report rating    12/4/06   2     4     4     1   Beware: This vet charges top dollar and will send you home with a bag full of potions that are overpriced and unnessecary. My dog was given a very expensive test which later proved to be a test done on cats, not dogs. I do not feel that these vets care about animals in anyway but just care about the money! RID: 1089
