Unhelpful staff, and Dr. Sweet has been more concerned with suggesting expensive tests than actually caring for our dogs. During one telephone call to explain test results, he suggested further tests even though he didn't once ask whether our dog had improved after she'd been taking new meds for 3 weeks. He's also now only working 3 days a week, and no one else seems to cover when he's away – so only offering part-time care. Never again!

The price keeps going up everytime I renew a prescription the price is up by another $30- good thing my dog is old or I would be searching for a vet that is a better value

Not transparent about pricing or extra cost with treatment. As first-time pet owners, digesting additional costs without prior notice is challenging. We spoke to the manager of the clinic and she said it was our responsibility to ask to see if there is any extra cost.

Dr. Sweet has been our vet for years and is great with our 2 griffons. He explains things very clearly and has an honest approach about our dogs health. His staff are friendly and helpful and our dogs love the technicians that work in the back. We have had a few emergencies and they have always accommodated us. We highly recommend this clinic.

My dog and I recently moved having no established vet in Calgary when he got really sick. Dr. Sweet was able to see my dog within 45 minutes of calling. While my dog is hesitant and nervous around men and vets in general, he took to Dr. Sweet immediately and the staff there did a great job of making him and myself feel comfortable. Would highly recommend this clinic.

Dr. Sweet is an amazing vet. My dog is very shy and nervous around men and he is so gentle with her. He spent a lot of time getting to know her and making sure she was comfortable. He also answered all of my questions very thoroughly. I'm very impressed with this clinic in general. Highly recommended!

We really liked Dr Wagner but not the other two . One goes immediately to the worst case scenario suggesting lots of expensive tests The other one is abrupt and impatient with little empathy Delivers bad news with the sensitivity of a sledgehammer If we could always see Dr Wagner then we may return but 2 out of 3 aren't good enough odds for our beloved animals

Awesome clinic, staff and support staff really take the time to provide compassionate care. The vets offer great advice and provide alternative treatments. I would highly recommend this clinic.

I have not been happy with this vet, my initial visit years ago was satisfactory but with each passing visit I have grown further upset with the quality of care and treatment by the staff. Vets try to push unnecessary tests and treatments (with exuberant costs) and discourage questions about alternative treatments. At my last visit the vet pushed hard to switch the the food sold at the store, without listening to my concerns with that food (while also dissing all other dog food not sold at the clinic). I would not recommend this vet to anyone, and have switched to Canine Companions which is much, much better.

Terrific vet, all three of them. Caring, and clearly knowledgeable. If you do not like the honest approach on your animals health then stay clear. Gives it to you straight, why would you not want it this way? Goes above and beyond everytime

Wonderful clinic! The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and really care about my dog. All options for treatment are explained and discussed. Dr. Wagner is the best Vet we have ever had.

I have been taking my dogs to this clinic for many years. The veternarians are wonderful and compassinate. The support staff are patient, competent and compassionate. They are suportive with aging pets and I am forever grateful for their support and expertize.

I was not satisfied with the service at my regular clinic and a friend recommended Dr. Wagner at Signal Hill. I was very happy with the service at this clinic. Dr. Wagner was wonderful. He seems to genuinely care for the animals. My dog was nervous, so he sat on the floor and let my dog slowly come to him. Very happy to go back.

I brought my dog here since we got him as a puppy 10 years ago. Staff are knowledgeable, supportive and have never pushed any products or procedures on us our entire time at this clinic. When we unexpectedly had to put our dog down this week Doctor Wagner and his staff were very sympathetic and supportive during the entire process. We will continue to use this clinic with any future pets that become part of our family.

My dog is 5 1/2 years old and I have been taking her to this clinic since we have adopted her at 4 months of age. I have always had a positive experience with all the staff, from the Vets to the support staff. I will continue taking her there and would definitely recommend this clinic.

I have been bringing my cats to this clinic since 1996. They have never tried to sell or guilt me into anything I could not afford. The newest Dr at the clinic Lauriana Loboldus is awesome! I have an aging cat with heart problems and she regularly keeps in touch while we are treating her with medications. Last year we had to put down another aging cat with the same congenital problems and she was so wonderfully caring and gentle. I have always had excellent experiences with Signal Hill Animal Clinic!

They tried to sell me a very expensive cancer test which was useless, because if my dog had had cancer they would not be able to do anything for her. They knowingly euthanized my dog without my permission or knowledge when a so called friend took her in out of spite towards me. Totally unethical

This clinic is not respectfull of your concerns. I was extremely stressed about my 2 young pups getting spayed/neutered-first staff member treated my rudely and rolled her eyes at me when I wanted to discuss my female pup with the vet before surgery, I was disrupting their routine therefore I was an unruly client. I knew in my mind why I did not take 2 former dogs in that clinic to be euthanized, their compassion leaves something to be desired and why I insisted it was all in my head is beyond me. My concerns were dismissed with an how dare you attitude my both staff and vet. I will never enter their doors again.

As a family we have been going to this vet clinic for may years. The vets and staff are caring, knowlegable and prompt. I have had life threatening situations that have given me the greatest confidence in the staff and if they feel the situation requires a higher emergency hospital they do not hesitate to expediate the process to get your 4 legged family member to the higher end care that is needed. I am getting another puppy and I would not hesitate a split second to take them to this caring and knowledgable clinic and staff.

The veterinarians and staff at this clinic are extremely caring and skilled. They give you all the time needed to answer any questions, they do not over charge like some vet clinics, and they truly care about you and your pets.

I've came here twice,with two different dogs, my 1st dog was going into labour, I came to the vet to ask if they could fit her in because her blood calcium levels were so low, resulting in her being disorientation,excessive panting,and tremors.we were frightened. They accepted and allowed us to come, When we got there they were closed! Two hours before their closing time. 2nd time was just a few months ago, My dog had a bacteria - Clostridia, She caught it when she found a bird with it on vacation, Since we were on vacation, I assumed the diarrhea was caused by upset stomach from the drive.After three days we cut our vacation short because of runny poo's every 30 mins,literally. By the time we got to the vet, my dog lost all mobility control and smelt like death. I came to this vet as a last result, They turned me away even though my dog would just collapse in front of them, they even said' smells like shes going to die' if you saw her, that was a comment that wasn't needed to be said.

The girls that work in the reception are extremly friendly and helpful. Keep the front looking good and running smoothly. The technichians thats work in the back have a true care for animals and were very helpful with my nervous dog. The support staff really made my visit and I look forward to going back to see them again.
