I tried to call her because of an emergency with my cat, she had no intention of helping him in any way, simply just wanted to put him down, demanded I call the spca and surrender my cat to be put down, when I did not call the spca she refused to help my cat, and told me to call Spokane or Kelowna, he needed emergency medical help and she would not do anything, I deal with ArrowLakes vet and they are incredible, Dr Fraser is the best vet in the area, and I tried to call there to speak with her but because all 3 vets in Castlegar share emergency phone service I was forced to deal with dr dennison, she does not care at all about your pet but just wants your money, she is brutally heartless and should seriously not be in the field of work she is in, Please be very careful taking your pet to her, I cant say the rest of her staff is like this, but she is! this was on Dec. 27- Dec-28 of 2019 Please keep your pets safe

Dr. Dennison has always been very candid with us, she helps us weigh all of our options whenever we have a concern with any of our pets. Surgeries are only suggested and we have never felt like choosing the non-surgical remedy has upset her and we have always felt comfortable with the care our pets receive. The staff is courteous and always has good advice to offer. We take all five of our pets to CVH and none of our animals ever seem upset when we go for a visit.

Dr.Dennison and staff at the Castlegar Vet Hospital(CVH)are competent and caring.I am an RN with high standards/expectations in regard to quality ethical care for my pets. The CVH has met all of my pet’s non-emergent and emergent needs for years. Dr.Dennison's recommendations for treatment are discussed with me and my questions are always answered.I'm provided the information I need to make appropriate treatment decisions on behalf of my pets. The decision is left to me how much treatment I want to consent to. Dr.Dennison has suggested referrals to vet specialists if treating my pet warrants highly specialized care/procedures.I appreciate this option.A periodic pet check-up is suggested as a preventative measure against underlying disease/illness which if caught early can be beneficial for pet and in the end cost effective for owners. Dr.Dennison and staff conduct themselves professionally and provide skilled and compassionate care.I fully recommend Dr. Dennison and the CVH. S Norman

Stay away from Kristy Dennision! She is the most hot-tempered, egotistical person I have encountered. She should not be veterinarian. After spending thousands of dollars without here finding out what was wrong with our pet, she called us the next day and said that there was another test to do for another $1000. We said no thanks, our pet is very old, and its just time. She then threatened to call the SPCA! This woman would fit right in to the mafia!
