Click to report rating    8/25/11   4     5     3     5   Dr. Molesworth has been my vet for 30 years. He is knowledgeable and caring. An excellent vet. RID: 27157

Click to report rating    7/18/09   5     4     3     5   I have been taking my pets to Main Street for over 20 years (2 yrs traveling from VA). Dr Molesworth has treated my 4 dogs (2 rotties)& 3 cats. My first rottie had kidney failure, and I took her to a vet close to home in an emergency. She was there for a total of 4 hours,& my bill was $850. All they did was put her on fluids, which they charged me $50/bag (14 yrs ago). That night I took her to Main Street. They kept her for 5 days running test, and giving her fluids (which they charged only $7 a bag). My total bill for 5 days was only $375! When the time came to "put my dog down", the "vet on call" met me at mid-night on a Sunday night, and stayed for over an hour while I said goodbye. Dr. Molesworth is currently treating my 10yr old rottie for tumors. 2 major surgeries, oodles of meds, & several office visits later- total cost around $700 - A vet who cares more about animals than money...PRICELESS!!! Click to report rating    8/4/08   4     3     1     5   Not only will you wait a very long time in a very crowded and loud waiting room, but the place is heavily satured with dog-breeding promotions. I have never been a vet who so unabashedly promoted breeding. I'd hope that a responsible vet would promote spay and neuter. RID: 9569

Click to report rating    1/21/08   4     5     3     5   Dr.Molesworth is an efficient, effective, competent vet. He is the only vet in this practice that will take after hours calls. I do not believe they offer complete grooming service--maybe a nail trip or coat clip. As of Nov.2006, they do not offer boarding at this facility. He is not a vet that will hold your hand. He is treating your animal and is great with them--He is not treating you. If you need coddling, keep looking. He will not run useless tests to run up a bill. He will not ask you to bring the pet back in 3 days, just to have a look--UNLESS its necessary. He is efficient and sensible. And as for the ridiculous comment that he will not treat Rotties--PLEASE! I personally know Rottie breeders that have used him for years. Did you ever consider maybe it wasnt the dog as much as it was the owner? As a breeder and dog lover, I have used Dr. Molesworth since moving into the area 8 yrs ago. I will continue to use him and recommend him to other mature informed animal lovers. RID: 7057

12/27/07   5     4     2     4   This is not true my pit is seen there for everything little thing. My pit is 80 lb.s and very scarred up from a terrible life before I rescued her and Molesworth has not shown any biased towards her. Now he is very set in his ways.... kind of gruff and to the point... he is a damn good vet.I wonder if its the people that don't click with the vet, not that the vet shows bias towards a breed. If the dog is prone to snapping at the vet he will asked that it be muzzled who wouldn't? RID: 6770
Click to report rating    6/25/07   5     5     2     4   Main Street is a great hospital with one problem: it is way too popular. Be prepared to wait for your appointment in a room full of loud dogs. However, i have found the staff friendly and knowledgable, and would continue to go there if it weren't so out of the wy for me RID: 4837
Click to report rating    6/18/07   5     5     4     5   Dr. Molesworth took care of our new puppy years ago and took care of the mother pup as well. Our dog lasted 15 years and had great care. Couldn't ask for any better care or consideration. RID: 4638
Click to report rating    12/5/06   1     1     1     1   I can't express enough how poorly run Main Street Vet is. I brought my new puppy for his initial vet appt and was reassured that he was perfectly healthy. I inquired regarding several concerns and was dismissed by all of them. My new puppy died 6 days later from worms(could have been detected by a fecal test that was never given), emaciation (weighed a one pound and wasn't a concern of the vet), and other causes that could have been detected with initial testing that was never done or suggested by the doctor.
