I CANNOT say enough wonderful things about this Veterinary Hospital. We have been going there for 30 years. They have saved COUNTLESS of our loving pets, when there really seemed like no hope. Not only are they phenomenal doctors, they are compassionate, caring and loving. They answer ALL of my questions from the office visits as well as when I call with follow up questions and updates. I've recommended them to so many people that I've lost count and each of them continuously thanked me for doing so. I would never consider going any place else and I can't imagine why anyone in this area would. All vets prices are high, so I don't see that they are any higher. I do have pet insurance and highly recommend it to everyone. Makes a huge difference of course. And one last thing -I'm in dog rescue, so I have A LOT of experience with other vets and animals' medical conditions - there is NO vets better than these at Hawthorne.

We've been taking our beloved 13.5 year old Airedale Terrier here since he was 8 weeks old. Drs. Maxine and Dinjer Shefki are supremely gifted vets. They have saved our dog's life, seen him through check ups, teeth cleanings, surgeries, and medical emergencies. The entire staff is outstanding and most accommodating with the most caring and loving technicians. Our dog loves going there, and we wouldn't take him anywhere else!

Even though vets love our pet, they insist on raising our bill every time. We have received services that we specifically stated WE DID NOT WANT - and had to pay for them!

$35 to clip claws, $50 for an injection (ANY injection) and every unnecessary thing they can think of to jack up the bill. Their gouging/bilking ways just break my heart, because they are otherwise very lovely and caring vets.
