Our dog played in the park and had a stick stuck to the roof of her mouth. Took her to this vet. The vet sedated her and removed the stick. It took the vet 10 minutes to examine our dog, 10 minutes for the sedation to take effect, and 30 seconds to ply the stick from our dog's mouth. Bill - $408! Felt like an extortion. We were anxious because our dog was feeling very uncomfortable. Cannot understand how they could charge that much. We have been taking our dog to this place for the past year or so. Charges always seemed very high. We will be looking around for other more reasonably priced vet.

Dr. Somer is very knowledgeable and compassionate and only recommends necessary testing to keep costs as low as possible. Based on my 30 years as a pet owner this is without question the most caring group of veterinary professionals I have ever known.

Excellent advice and care given for my aging dog. Dr. Somer is knowledgeable and caring. Gives helpful advice on dog's diet and health. Easily accessible by phone including a follow up next day phone call. Does not suggest expensive or unnecessary treatments.Sensible and caring.

Dr.Radchuk is a woman. she's an excellent vet and she didn't own that practice. We have 2 dogs both go only to her. She doesn't care about the money ,never pushes any services on you, always tries to keep expenses on the lower end. The owner was a male and he sold the practise. Never liked the guy so when Dr. Radchuk left we left with her)))

I have been bringing my 2 cats to see Dr. Somer before she moved to this location. She is very attentive and gentle to my cats, even one of my cats is consider "vicious" whenever she's at the hospital. Staff are very nice and knowledgeable. My appointment is always on time. Dr. Somer explains in layman terms so I understand. Clean place. I will definitely go back again and again!

Close down, not sure why? Very very expensive, I have since taken my new puppy to a new vet and find the prices much better with better care. The lady vet at Dufferen Steeles location was very nice but the man vet was always rude and only seem to care about the money you needed to spend to care for your pet.

If you just bring there for annual shots, you cannot see whether they're good or bad, although their price is over-priced I don't know why. Once your pet is sick or something, here comes the problem. If they are just sick just bring it to the emergency vet clinic.(be simple) but if you've decided to bring your pets to here Dufferin and Steels, they are gonna charge you blood-sample test, urine, care service. Overall, you will be looking at more than $3000. Plus, you have to pre-paid for the servie and they will just rip you off, even though some of the stuff they haven't done it, they won't give your money back. They will just find another way to not to give ur money back. PLUS, if they can't find anything they will send you just emergency specialist from there you have to redo the all tests. Why these staffs from Steels and Dufferin won't tell you to go to Emergency clinic at the first place? because they want your money. really dishonest plz I beg you don't go -from my experience-

Quality of care is very good. My puppy has been here twice so far. Staff is very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. Dr. Radchuk is approachable and patient. She goes out of her way to answer questions and taught me how to clip nails herself. Office is very new looking and clean, my dog is comfortable there. Prices are on par with fancier vets. I don't mind paying these for routine checkups, shots and tests but I opted not to have my puppy neutered here and saved $200 by going elsewhere.

Very good hospital, very knowlegible doctors and staff, actually were able to help my dog after incorrect diagnosis and treatment from another vet.They do recommend tests but I guess you have to get some tests done to get right diagnosis and get appropriate treatment.

I liked my experience here, came with my new puppy, Dr. Radchuk spent almoust an hour with us in the room, answered all my questions and I had quiet a few of them ). Vaccination was done while Duke was chewing a treat and he did not even notice it! we went home with puppy folder with a lot of useful information and even a present for Duke. Also we got nail trim with explanaition how to do a thome, ear cleaning; so over all great cervise.

One Receptionist (out of 3) and Vet Tech are VERY friendly, others are stand-off-ish. I felt both vets did show compassion for the animals and were friendly, but tried to push a lot of unnecessary testing on our pet, as well as pushing us into purchasing the food they provide - to the point I felt bullied. Facilities are clean, warm, and welcoming. Appointments were always prompt and efficient.

I brought my dog to them for issues with throwing up and they said they needed blood tests and whatever to check up on him. Wth. After I said no, they were like he might have pancreatitis and that he should be eating their food. I was like fine...sure.. only to find out that their food is seriously garbage... full of corn fillers and crap. My dog didint even want to eat it.

This was our experience: Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, especially one tech. The front and examining room felt cold and unwelcoming. Too much emphasis on the business aspect, not compassionate or understanding. Doctor gave teenage son 5 minutes to decide what to do with his cat - put him down or thousands(open ended)of dollars in surgery etc.... Very pricey and felt a lot of unnecessary services suggested.

Very nice Vet Techs and Reception! I was overall happy with this office, except when my kitten was getting quite sick they were not completely honest or forthcoming with his prospects and I ended up spending a lot more money on meds and hospital stay than I should have since the end result was euthinasia. I realize they were likely trying to soften the blow of losing a pet, but my bank account also took a hit.
