Dr. Balzer is a compassionate, caring vet who takes whatever amount of time is needed to see that your pet gets a proper diagnosis and treatment. Her fees are the lowest in the city of Phila. She is open to homeopathic, chiropractic and other types of "non-allopathic" vet practice. All of the staff are respectful and helpful. Because of her lower fees and good veterinary practice, it can sometimes take over a month to schedule a pet for surgery. All non-surgical procedures are first come, first serve 8:30 to 11:30 AM and 2:00 to 5:00 PM. The facilities are kept clean at all times. Dr. Balzer was rated as one of the best vets in Philadelphia Magazine a few years ago. If Dr. Balzer does not feel capable of treating your vet, she will refer to another vet. Dr. Balzer also was chosen by The Morris Animal Refuge in Philadelphia to spay and neuter all of their animals prior to adoption. All types of low-cost or no-cost spay/neuter programs are honored and they will give you the list.
